Aims & Scope

The International Women Online Journal of Distance Education (intWOJDE) is a biannual, peer-reviewed, open-access international journal that publishes articles in the fields of distance education, open learning, and women’s roles and participation in education.

The journal aims to:

  • Promote gender equity and diversity in educational technologies and practices,
  • Encourage innovative instructional strategies and research in online learning,
  • Disseminate findings on policy development, curriculum design, and professional growth in the field of distance education for and by women,
  • Provide a platform for global collaboration and dialogue among educators, researchers, and practitioners.

intWOJDE welcomes contributions such as empirical research articles, theoretical papers, case studies, systematic reviews, and educational innovations that focus on the intersections of gender and technology in open and distance learning environments.

The journal addresses a broad audience including academic researchers, practitioners, education policymakers, and technology developers working on global or local issues of women in distance education.
